Oregon Country Fair

THE Oregon COUNTRY FAIR

The COUNTRY FAIR is an annual 3-day festival out side of Veneta, Oregon. Veneta is a small, thriving community of 3,000, located 12 miles West of  Eugene Oregon.   The COUNTRY FAIR is unique because of its special wooded location and the sense of walking through a medieval village..  The fair attracts almost 50,000 attendees every July from locations around the country.  The attraction of the large crowds is apparent once you step into the world of whimsy with stilt walkers, wandering musicians and performers mingling through the crowds.

Enjoy events on the 12 unique stages located at different locations through out the fair grounds.  Music events feature Folk, Gypsy,  progressive string band, harp musicians & singers, Reggae, Blues, accordions, traditional Zimbabwean music, African Drum & dance, and guitar music.

Other events at the stages feature Belly dancing lessons, magic shows, jugglers, puppet shows, vaudeville acts, and acrobatic performers.

The food booths are known for their incredible deserts, delectable snacks, and mouth watering entrees from many ethnic backgrounds. . . Local artists display their fine crafted jewelry, paintings, furniture, clothing, garden art, and many other creative displays of their talents

The growth of the fair from the 1st event in 1969 has been manageable because of a highly evolved management system consisting of a board of directors, 6 year-around employees, and many dedicated volunteers that work tirelessly to prepare for the event. The volunteers provide many people hours to staff the event and to return the wooded location to its pristine state when the fair is over for the year.
